Council’s Bridge Team will be replacing the single-lane timber Murrays Creek bridge with a two-lane concrete bridge.

Contractors will construct a single-lane bypass track before the existing bridge is demolished, allowing road user access while the new bridge is being built.

A reduced speed limit and traffic lights will be in place.

A section of Pericoe Road, Yambulla is closed due to severe erosion of pavement.

The alternate connecting route between Pericoe Road and Imlay Road is via Falkner Road and Gecko Road.

This temporary road closure will be in place until further notice.

South Tilba Rd walking track has suffered extensive damage. The walking track is now closed at both ends.

Geotechnical investigation works are scheduled on Big Jack Mountain Road on Tuesday 5 August, weather permitting.

This marks the first stage of flood restoration works aimed at improving the road’s durability and protecting the road surface from damage in future weather events.

Changed traffic conditions with traffic control will be in place for the duration of the works.

Once this stage is finished, a block retaining wall will be constructed to stabilise the embankment.
