Fire Incidents

A bush fire is burning in the **Karuah Nature Reserve** approximately 5km east of Karuah, south of the M1 Pacific Motorway. The fire is currently over 770 hectares in size and is contained.

Due to the increased risk of fire, the Rural Fire Service (RFS) is requesting harvest operators immediately stop and check local weather conditions before deciding whether it is safe to continue harvesting in the following regions: * Forbes * Lachlan * Parkes * Weddin

The fire is burning in the area of **Genowlan Road** in the **Glen Alice** area to the east of the Capertee National Park, approximately 45km north of Lithgow. The fire is burning in an easterly direction towards **Genowlan Road**. The fire is not yet controlled. Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.

An emergency warning is in place for the **Worrowing Heights** area due to a bush fire. If you are in the **Worrowing Heights** area, you are in danger. It is now too late to leave. Seek shelter now inside a solid structure such as a house. The fire is burning in the Worrowing Heights area, north of Sanctuary Point, south of The Wool Rd and to the west and east of Larmer Ave and is not yet controlled. Check and follow your Bush Fire Survival Plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. Leaving early is your safest option.
